Jane Becker, Attorney
Jane Becker has practiced in Santa Cruz since 1986. She represents taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and California taxing authorities (EDD, FTB and State BOE). She presently represents taxpayers in the IRS OVDI Program (Overseas Voluntary Disclosure) and FBAR audits and appeals (foreign bank accounts/failure to disclose the existence of foreign assets). Ms. Becker has served as secretary of the Tax Procedure and Litigation Committee of the Taxation Section of the California State Bar and as editor of the committee’s quarterly newsletter. She is also a member of the American Bar Association’s Taxation Section. Ms. Becker has lectured on state and federal tax issues to various attorney and CPA groups (the Santa Cruz County Bar Association, the Monterey County Bar Association, CalCPA and the California State Bar Annual Convention).

Liane Bauer, Legal/Office Assistant                                                                                                      Liane was born and raised in the San  Francisco Bay Area. She moved to Santa Cruz  to attend UCSC and graduated with a BA in Legal Studies in 2019. As an aspiring attorney, Liane is eager to best assist clients with their needs and she is always excited to learn new things in the office. Currently, Liane manages client correspondence, scheduling, and general office procedure. Liane also assists with research, drafting documents, and everything in between to make sure the office is functioning smoothly. Outside of work, Liane loves the outdoors. She hikes and bikes in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, swims and surfs in the cool Santa Cruz waters, and always makes time for cuddling up with a warm cup of tea and her beloved kitty, Snoop.
